Panama City Beach Area
For a lively and brash beach scene, Panama City will not disappoint. It is the “Miracle Strip,” make that 27 or so miles of it, of condos, shops, amuzement parks, game arcades, all beside a powdery white beach of quartz ground fine for you in the Appalachian mts. and rushed to beachside by rivers about 5 thousand years ago. Want to take the family on a bumper car ride? No problem. How about a dive to see over 50 boats, wrecked to create reefs for fishes to enjoy, as well as natural reefs of live coral? Spring Break finds this area full of you know who’s, and summertime is family on the beach time. To pick a quieter beach, you need only go 3 miles to St. Andrews State Park, with excellent swimming, white sand beach, good snorkeling, and a great little fishing pier. That’s called something for everyone.
